The entertainment industry has taken quite a hit by the coronavirus, with productions for various movies and television shows getting delayed, as well as release dates for series and blockbuster films getting pushed back. As for Marvel's The Eternals, the studio has already wrapped up filming, but how will the crew work on it amidst the pandemic?
Scanline VFX Studios, a staple VFX House of the MCU, will continue working on The Eternals. President Stephen Trojansky has announced that the employees will be working from home, and projects in the works "will continue as normal."
For the time being, "not a single employee needs to set foot into a physical office location." This is, of course, an effort to prevent further spreading the coronavirus and reduce the risk of exposing the employees to it.
The studio is even open to new projects and will expand their home setup as needed. Amidst the pandemic, Scanline is still eager to support their clients and the VFX community. "We are extremely proud of the way out teams have come together and adapted during this challenging time," Trojansky says in the statement. "The feedback we have received from everyone has been overwhelmingly positive as we transition in to this new, fully decentralized workflow." You can check out the full statement below:
Aside from The Eternals, Scanline has a few more highly-anticipated films on their hands, including The Batman, Godzilla vs Kong, and Free Guy.
The Eternals is currently set for release on November 6, 2020.
