A preview of Marvel's Star Wars: The Force Awakens comic book adaptation has been released.

The comic book was first announced in a new episode of The Star Wars Show, where the hosts shared a few pages of the upcoming comic. You can also take a full look at that preview in the official Star Wars website here.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens #1 comprise six issues all written by Chuck Wendig, who also penned the Star Wars: Aftermath novel. The comic book's artwork has been illustrated by Luke Ross.

Take a look at some of the pages below:

The imagery looks amazing! Even the art shown in the preview isn't final, I think Ross was able to capture the most iconic scenes in the film. Finn grabbing Poe so desperately and Hux's glimpse at Kylo Ren – they're definitely striking.

It's worth noting that Wendig's Star Wars: Aftermath hit the #4 spot on the New York Times Best Sellers list during its release last fall. I'm expecting this comic book adaptation to have the same brand of quality.

The first issue of the Star Wars: The Force Awakens comic book hits shelves on June 22.
