Marvel's Inhumans received a lot of flack for how the series has portrayed Medusa's hair in previous trailers. The hair drew negative comments when the first few stills of the show were shown, and the CGI was heavily criticized after some of the trailers came online. It looks like Marvel and ABC took a drastic method to silencing these criticisms: shave it all off.
At the end of the show's latest trailer, we see Medusa with a much shorter haircut, only relying on her fists for combat this time. She does get to kick some butt without her hair, so it seems like relying on her hand-to-hand skills will be a good look for her. To be fair, actress Serinda Swan looks great with the new hairdo, and it should stop fans from criticizing the CGI.
It will be interesting to see how many episodes pass before Medusa cuts her hair, since the first season of Marvel's Inhumans will have eight episodes. Medusa's hair was a big part of her character in the comic books, so seeing her cutting it to a serious degree is a ballsy move. Only time will tell if this is a great move, or if fans will be more careful with what they criticize.
The first two episodes of Marvel's Inhumans will hit IMAX theaters on September 1. It will debut on ABC later this Fall, on September 29.
