Marvel's Exiles Features the Craziest Superhero Team Ever Made

Marvel has announced a new Exiles ongoing series for April and it has one of the craziest superhero teams ever formed, even for superhero standards. The new series will be written by Saladin Ahmed, whose Black Bolt series has gotten a ton of good reviews, and drawn by Javier Rodriguez. Like previous incarnations of Exiles, the series will focus on a group of heroes from alternate worlds who group together and fight evil in even more alternate worlds.

This roster of Exiles is pretty crazy, though it does have a few returning faces that should put a smile on any Marvel fan's face. Blink, who is practically the face of the team, will be in the group along with Iron Lad from the Young Avengers and Nick Fury Senior, who hasn't been seen since Original Sin.

Interesting new members include a Sarah Connor-like Kamala Khan from the future and a chibi version of Wolverine. There is also a mysterious character who has been blacked out from the first promo image, so we'll have to wait a few months for that. Still, it looks interesting enough and definitely fits the Exiles label.

Here's what series writer Saladin Ahmed has to say about it:

"Exiles is a two-fisted, big-hearted wild ride of a book about a diverse team of alternate universe Marvel heroes banding together to stop a dire threat to the multiverse. Sort of What If? meets classic X-Men. Grizzled old Kamala Khan! Disgustingly cute cartoon Wolverine! It's a dream of a book to be working on for a Marvel fanboy such as myself, full of deep-cut guest stars and mind-blowing easter eggs. But it's also new-reader friendly - a self-contained story of a group of misfits coming together, learning to trust each other, and, if they're lucky, saving the !@$# universe."

Exiles #1 comes out on April 11.
