Marvel's Cancelled Daredevil Game Unveiled


Before Marvel Studios' rise in the film industry, Marvel was all about licensin its IP, which led to goo partnerships, yet some deals had some projects that were never released. One of them is the Daredevil videogame, which was developed by 5000 Ft Inc.

So why was it cancelled?

Unseen64 (via Didyouknowgaming) decided to investigate why and asked the developers about what really happned, and it turns out that one of the bigger issues that hindered the game's development is the constant tugging of creative visions between Marvel and Sony, as the game was being made for the Playstation 2. 

Unseen64 explains that the original vision for the third-person game was meant to be "small scale", and former President of  5,000ft. Tim Page described it as a "series of vignettes celebrating some of the most notable moments of Daredevil's superhero career." But when Regency announced the Daredevil film starring Ben Affleck, they wanted to expand the scope of the film by making it more open-world.
