Marvel's Werewolf By Night Series Synopsis, Production Start Date Revealed

Marvel has just confirmed the new series that would focus on Werewolf by Night. However, it looks like the project is already moving forward faster than the others. A new leak has confirmed that the Gael Garcia Bernal show is now in active development and is set to begin production very soon. In addition to that, it confirms which version of the comic book character will appear in the series as revealed in the synopsis.

The Werewolf by Night show has only been announced three weeks ago along with the confirmation that Gael Garcia Bernal will take on the lead role. Naturally, fans assumed that the Old star will play Jack Russell but the leaked production listing for the project suggests it's the other Werewolf we will be meeting soon.

The working title for the show is Buzzcut and it is expected to begin production in Atlanta, Georgia in February 2022. The series is being produced by Kevin Feige, Louis D'Esposito, and Victoria Alonzo. So far, Bernal is the only cast member confirmed but we now know who he is playing.

"A new Werewolf by Night is prowling the Southwest but all is not what it seems!" the synopsis reads. "A young man, a family curse, and an unholy experiment prove a dangerous combination for a small town in Arizona. All young Jake wants is to protect his people, but who will protect him from the monster within?"

"Jake" is Jake Gomez aka Red Wolf. The character was introduced in 2020's Werewolf by Night #1, which was written by the Black Eyed Peas' Taboo, Benjamin Jackendoff and Scot Eaton.

First of all, let's just say that Bernal might be a little too old to play Jake in the series. This could mean that he is playing someone connected to the character or the original Werewolf Jack Russell. Hopefully, we'll learn even more about the Marvel Cinematic Universe series soon.
