Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order got everyone's attention when it was first revealed back in The Game Awards, with many comic book fans thinking of buying a Switch just for the game. Details have been a bit slim since then but the most recent Nintendo Direct briefly put the spotlight on this action RPG, revealing that the game would be coming out this summer, which is great news for everyone.

Sadly, we don't know when in the summer we'll be seeing the game but it's better than the plain 2019 release window, which Link's Awakening got but let's not complain about that game. Still, it's nice to know that development is going nicely and let's hope that it comes out early summer and not too late, though we wouldn't be surprised if a delay or two happened.

Though the trailer spotlights upcoming movie star Captain Marvel, it also confirms several characters who were not seen in the first video. Iron Fist, Storm, and Venom are seen this time around, with the video confirming that characters from The Defenders, X-Men, and more will be in the game, so that's awesome.

For the first time in 10 years, the Marvel Ultimate Alliance series returns with four-player action and an original story … all exclusive to Nintendo Switch! Assemble your dream team from a huge cast of Superheroes. Players can save the world together with up to four players (additional accessories required for multiplayer mode; sold separately) in TV mode, with four separate systems locally or online. A dynamic zoomed-in Heroic Camera will give players the option to get closer to the action. As characters level up, they'll learn new skills they can use on the fly, and also perform powerful Alliance Extreme attacks.

What do you guys think of Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 getting a summer 2019 release?
