Marvel Studios Reportedly Developing Young Avengers Movie For The MCU

Marvel might have its plate full this year with the upcoming release of Captain Marvel, Avengers: Endgame, and Spider-Man: Far From Home, but the studio is also making sure that it prepares for its life after Phase 3 of the franchise, and if the rumors are true, then the new phase might include the Young Avengers.

We Got This Covered has the latest scoop on Marvel's plans after Endgame and, according to the publication, the studio is currently working on a script for a Young Avengers movie. Featuring a set of teenage and young adult heroes, the report claims that the film will include Kate Bishop's version of Iron Lad, Hawkeye, Hulkling, Patriot, Stature, Wiccan, and Vision.

As with any rumor that makes the rounds online, fans should remember to take the report with a grain of salt. However, with Chris Evans (Captain America), Robert Downey Jr. (Iron Man) and the rest of Marvel's roster of actors' contracts coming to an end, it would definitely make sense for the studio to bring in new recruits to fill in the MCU. If the post is proven to be true, then the Young Avengers would make a great fit for the franchise.

What's even more interesting is that Stature was previously rumored to appear in Avengers: Endgame. For those who aren't familiar, Stature is the superhero persona that Cassie Lang, Scott's (Paul Rudd) daughter, takes on when she gets older. Knowing that the Avengers might travel through time to undo Thanos' snappening in Endgame, fans believe that the team might come across Stature in the movie.

Avengers: Endgame is set to premiere on April 26, 2019.
