Marvel Studios Reportedly Developing A “Captain Britain And The Black Knight” Movie With Guy Ritchie

Marvel Studios might have its hands full with Avengers 4's reshoots and the production of Captain Marvel, but it looks like the studio might be adding on another film to its growing movie to-do list and rumor has it that film might include Captain America's English counterpart, Captain Britain.

According to a new report by Ain't It Cool News, a source that the site refers to as the "Super Grip" has just recently given them new information about an unannounced Marvel movie. The source reportedly works at various movie studios in Britain and has been working in Pinewood for a few weeks. Being at Pinewood Studios, "Super Grip" learned that the space has just been recently booked from November to December 2018 for Marvel to hold auditions for a project called Captain Britain and the Black Night with the director being Guy Ritchie.

"Marvel seems to be moving fast with it to fill in the space left behind by Danny Boyle's aborted Bond 25. Everyone is excited because it looks like another few months of solid work when we thought we would have to wait a while," the source explains.

While a Captain Britain movie definitely sounds like exciting news, Marvel fans are of course advised to take the report with a grain of salt. Not only is the report based on an unconfirmed rumor, but Ain't It Cool News also admits that they haven't made any follow-ups regarding the information that they've received from their source.

If proven true, than British fans are finally going to get a hero of their own to look up to in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Marvel's next film, Captain Marvel, hits cinemas March 6, 2019.
