There's no doubt that Wanda Maximoff aka the Scarlet Witch has long been overlooked in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and it wasn't until Avengers: Endgame that fans began to truly realize her potential.

After serving as the main villain in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness where the closing moments saw her "death", many fans are wondering what's next for the character who is dubbed by Kevin Feige himself as the "Most Powerful Avenger".

Well, it looks like Wanda will be finally getting her much-need shot at redemption following the shocking events that took place in Doctor Strange 2.

According to a tweet from user @itsjustanx, the long-awaited solo Scarlet Witch film starring Elizabeth Olsen will be announced at next month's San Diego Comic-Con. The tweet also claims that "multiple sources" have stated that it’s Kevin Feige’s most anticipated Marvel Studios production to date.

The authenticity of the rumor is a little questionable so take it with a huge grain of salt. Check it out below:

It's worth noting that this rumor comes from the heels of Olsen claiming that she knows nothing about her future in the MCU following Multiverse of Madness. She could be telling the truth but of course, there's always a chance that she's just trying to dodge the subject to comply with the studio's strict secrecy.

As it stands, nothing has been officially confirmed yet but the idea of Wanda finally getting her own solo film makes a lot of sense especially now that there's a lot of hype surrounding the character. My guess is that the studio plans to release it sometime in 2024, the year when the Scarlet Witch celebrates her 60th year in the Marvel universe.

Meanwhile, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is now streaming on Disney+.
