Marvel Studios President Wants Black Panther Director To Return For Sequel

Black Panther might have a couple of days to go till it hits cinemas in the US, but it seems like Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige's already hoping that director Ryan Coogler might direct the film's sequel for the studio.

Feige just recently went on an interview with Variety to talk about Black Panther and the Marvel Studio head honcho was asked whether Coogler would come back to direct the film's sequel.

"I hope so," Feige responded, saying that Coogler's return was something that he "absolutely" wants to happen.

However, according to Feige, Marvel isn't trying to rush anything.

"We always say we work on one movie at a time," the Marvel Studios president explained. "If you have any good ideas, put it in the movie you're making. If you don't, you might not be able to make another one. That said, Panther has been around for more than half a century in the comic books and there are many, many stories to tell."

Black Panther has yet to make a premiere, but so far the film's been seen critical and commercial success. The film's been certified fresh on Rotten Tomatoes with a 97 percent score and has topped every other superhero film's advanced ticket sale numbers.

Black Panther premieres this Friday, February 16, 2018.
