It seems like Marvel Studios is no longer trying to hide the identity of Chadwick Boseman's Black Panther replacement and after all the merch leaks we've seen over the last couple of weeks that point to Shuri becoming the next Wakandan hero, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever's latest teaser pretty much confirms that the character, played by actress Letitia Wright has been chosen to take over the role from Boseman.

The latest trailer for the sequel offers a better look at the late actor's successor and if you needed further proof that who we saw wearing the vibranium armor in the trailer was actually T'Challa's younger sister, the newly released poster for Wakanda Forever puts Wright's character at the center with a massive image of the new Black Panther seen in the background.

If that alone isn't a huge giveaway, I don't know what is. Check it out here:

Despite what initial reports claim, Shuri has always been the top candidate to become the new Black Panther in the MCU and her connection to T'Challa is enough reason for her to be given an upgraded role in the franchise.

While most fans are excited to see the next chapter of the Black Panther franchise, some folks still find it quite baffling that Marvel Studios didn't just opt to recast Boseman. Additionally, Letitia's recent controversies have also been a hot topic on the internet and it'll be interesting to see how this will affect the film as a whole.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever will hit theaters on November 11, 2022.
