Marvel Studios is Reportedly Working on an Ultimatum Movie for Some Reason

As we wait for the next big crossover Avengers movie from Marvel Studios, it's clear that the company is working on solo projects for newer characters like Shang-Chi and The Eternals. It will be interesting to see what their next big crossover is going to be like, with many fans hoping for some sort of New Avengers movie, especially after the events of Endgame. Looks like Marvel is planning something different as reports are coming on the company working on an Ultimatum movie.

Yes. Ultimatum. The worst Marvel Comics crossover in history.

For those of you who are unfamiliar with it, Ultimatum was an Ultimate Comics event that killed off the universe's characters in a number of tasteless and dumb ways. The Wasp was eaten by The Blob, whose head was then bitten off by Giant-Man. Daredevil and Nightcrawler drowned in the giant flood started by a Mjolnir-wielding Magneto. Doctor Strange was randomly killed by Dormamu for no reason at all.

To be fair, Marvel Studios has used lesser comic storylines and turned them into solid movies before. Age of Ultron was a convoluted time-traveling story that very few people liked, while the movie was a solid if somewhat self-indulgent, movie that had a memorable villain in Ultron. We're sure the company can find a way to salvage this crappy comic story into movie gold.

How will they kick off the Ultimatum event without Magneto? We'll have to wait and see, assuming that the report is true. Let's just hope it's better than the comic which, once again, blows.
