Marvel Studio Artist Reveals Iron Man 2 Briefcase Suit Early Design

Iron Man's (Robert Downey Jr.) story might be done now that Avengers: Endgame is over, but that doesn't mean that fans can't revisit Tony Stark's journey in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Marvel Studios artist Ryan Meinerding just recently posted concept art featuring the early version of the briefcase suit of Tony in Iron Man 2, allowing fans to remember one of the more odd versions of the Iron Man suit.

Taking to Instagram, Meinerding revealed the early design for Iron Man's briefcase suit in Iron Man 2, a design which was later on repurposed for Tony Stark's third standalone movie. According to the Marvel Studios artist, this early version of the briefcase suit ended up becoming the Bones armor that Tony used for his House Party protocol at the end of Iron Man 3.

You can check out the suit down here:

Though we doubt that we'll get to see this suit in the MCU again now that Iron Man's sacrificed his life to save the universe from the hands of Thanos in Avengers: Endgame, it's interesting to learn about the development of the Bones costume.

Interestingly enough, Tony Stark has been able to create more than fifty Iron Man suits over the course of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Some favorites, of course, are the Bleeding Edge Mark L that appears in Avengers: Infinity War and Hulkbuster featured in Avengers: Age of Ultron. The Mark V Suitcase was pretty good too, though we have to admit Bones has an edgier design.

Avengers: Endgame is available on Digital HD, Blu-Ray, and DVD.
