It's been a while since Thanos turned more than half of the Universe's living population to dust in Avengers: Infinity War, but it looks like some Marvel fans don't like being reminded about the heartbreak they felt after seeing their favorite heroes crumble into ashes on the big screen.
Though Marvel's finished its line-up for the year, the studio's been pretty busy promoting the home release of its latest film, Ant-Man and the Wasp. Posting a new trailer to help add to the hype of the film's Blu-Ray and DVD release, the studio couldn't help but troll fans in the process.
Taking to Twitter to announce the Ant-Man sequel's Blu-Ray release date on Twitter, Marvel Studios decided to post a video that gave away Ant-Man and the Wasp's home release date.
While some fans enjoyed seeing clips from the film run through the video, fans couldn't help but snap over the subtle reminder of Infinity War's massacre in the video – at the very end of the clip, the DVD caste of Ant-Man and the Wasp also fades into dust.
Commenting on the post, some fans reprimanded the studio, telling them that they "didn't have to end the ad like that" because they, "don't need reminding," and asking why if the studio really needed to turn the disc into dust.
Seeing the disc fade into nothingness might be a fun joke to some, but to others, it serves as a reminder of all the deaths in Infinity War, including that of Spider-Man (Tom Holland), Bucky (Sebastian Stan), Black Panther (Chadwick Boseman), Groot (Vin Diesel) and so many more.
We can't wait and see these heroes come back in Avengers 4.
Avengers 4 hits cinemas May 3, 2019.
