There is little doubt that Helstrom is a true survivor. After all, it's the only Marvel series left that would air on Hulu following the cancellation of The Runaways and the Ghost Rider spin-off. But will it be worth the long wait? The new teaser for the upcoming show has just been released and it looks like a terrifying ride.
The teaser for Helstrom opens with Ana and Daimon Helstrom reuniting to visit their mother at an asylum. The whole idea is already creepy on its own but their mother makes it even scarier as she finally realizes her children have arrived and speaks in a different voice.
There's a reason behind the visit. "Mommy dearest, I know you set something loose on this world," Ana says to their mother. "What was it?" Victoria has a terrifying response: "I think you know."
Comic book readers already know this as well but let's not get into that right now. Overall, the teaser confirms that Helstrom will be a scary Marvel show that will explore what happens when the devil is set loose.
The synopsis for Helstrom reads as follows:
"As the son and daughter of a mysterious and powerful serial killer, Helstrom follows Daimon (Tom Austen) and Ana Helstrom (Sydney Lemmon), and their complicated dynamic, as they track down the worst of humanity — each with their own attitude and skills."
Helstrom will premiere on Hulu on October 16.
