Marvel Reveals Bucky Barnes' New Winter Soldier Costume

The Winter Soldier has always been one of Marvel's most compelling characters and it's no longer surprising how Bucky Barnes transformed from a mere sidekick to one of the Marvel Universe's most popular heroes. The character also grew in popularity over the years thanks to the MCU which pretty much turned him into a bonafide top-tier character.

Now, the former Star-Spangled Avenger is set to embark on a brand new journey alongside his Team Cap compeers Steve Rogers, Sam Wilson, and more in Marvel's Captain America: Cold War comics event. Key details about the upcoming 2023 crossover have yet to be disclosed but it will follow the events of Captain America: Sentinel of Liberty and Captain America: Symbol of Truth.

During a special panel at New York Comic-Con, the comic book giant unveiled several variant covers for the Cold War event featuring Bucky's upgraded new look designed by artist Carmen Carnero. The beloved Marvel hero is now sporting a caped look that is nothing short of badass. Check it out here:

Meanwhile, it was recently revealed that Sebastian Stan will be joining the MCU's Thunderbolts project as a member of the elite villain team. We all know for a fact that he already made amends in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier for all the wrong things his former self committed so it comes as a huge shocker how he's now an ally of the bad guys.

Captain America: New World Order is slated for theatrical release on May 3, 2024, while Thunderbolts has been given a July 26, 2024 release date.
