Marvel Reveals Avengers: Infinity War’s Much Darker Ending

During the end of Avengers: Infinity War, Marvel fans got to see the Mad Titan Thanos wipe out half of the universe with a single snap of his fingers. Members of the Avengers and Guardians of the Galaxy turned into dust along with random civilians on Earth.

However, sentient beings weren't the only ones affected by Thanos' finger-snapping massacre. When the Mad Titan said that he was going to bring balance to the universe by wiping out half of all life, he meant half of ALL life.

Speaking in an interview with Birth Movies Death, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige was asked whether Thanos' massacre affected non-sentient creatures as well as humans. Did Thanos take away half of the animals on all planets?

Feige's response?

"Yes! Yes. All life."

That's a whole lot darker than fans initially imagined. Think about all the cows, chickens, puppies, kittens, dolphins, whales and all other animals that got turned into dust because of Thanos overly zealous mission to bring balance to the Universe. The Mad Titan's finger-snapping massacre probably also affected all of plant life too – something that wouldn't be too good of an idea given the dwindling number of trees on the planet already.

We certainly hope that Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.), Captain America (Chris Evans) and the rest of the Avengers manage to undo Thanos' massacre in Avengers 4.

Marvel's most recent film, Ant-Man and the Wasp, is currently screening in cinemas.
