Marvel Reportedly Setting Up Electro for Spider-Man 3

There might not be that much news about the Marvel Cinematic Universe's upcoming Spider-Man movie, but it looks like there are rumors going around saying that Marvel is planning to introduce another Spider-Man villain in the Marvel film franchise.

According to a report by We Got This Covered, sources close to Marvel say that the studio is planning to introduce the Marvel comic book villain Electro into the Marvel Cinematic Universe to set him up for the next Spider-Man movie.

To those who aren't entirely familiar with the character, Electro is an enemy of Spider-Man who managed to gain the ability to control electricity after finding himself being struck by lightning while in the middle of work on a power line. Electro is part of the Sinister Six. The character made his live-action debut in Sony's The Amazing Spider-Man 2 and was played by Jamie Foxx – though the actor's take on Max Dillon didn't really sit that well among Marvel fans.

Electro would be an interesting villain for Spider-Man 3, however, we'd like to remind fans to take the report with a grain of salt. We can't really rely on rumors.

Besides, there have also been numerous reports claiming that Peter Parker (Tom Holland) would be battling with different enemies in the next Spider-Man movie, namely Kraven and Scorpion.

There are also a number of fans hoping that Peter might be able to meet Scorpion again.

Right now, we can only hope that Marvel gives us more details about Spider-Man 3.
