Marvel Reportedly Developing X-Men TV Series For Disney+

Marvel fans aren't only looking forward to the arrival of the X-Men, Fantastic Four, and all of Fox's other mutants in the Marvel Cinematic Universe after the merger between Disney and the 21st Century Fox. It turns out, fans can also look forward to an X-Men TV series set for Disney+, the Mickey Mouse House's new streaming site.

While Marvel Studios' plans for the arrival of the X-Men and Fox's other mutant properties continue to remain a secret, We Got This Covered says that a new rumor's popped up on the mill saying that Marvel bigwigs are planning to develop multiple X-Men series for Disney+. According to the report, Marvel is working on ideas for a number of potential franchises for the Mickey Mouse House's upcoming streaming site.

Of course, as with all reports, fans ought to be reminded to take these rumors with a grain of salt. Disney can't actively develop ideas for properties that aren't theirs, so while the merger between the Mickey Mouse House and Fox is still in development, it's likely that the studio is just throwing around ideas for what it would do with the X-Men, Fantastic Four, and all of Fox's other mutants after the acquisition.

Seeing the inevitability of the merger between studios, it's safe to say that the arrival of the X-Men in the MCU seems just as inevitable as well, something which Disney Chairman Bob Iger made in a statement.

"I think it only makes sense," Iger said. "I want to be careful here because of what's been communicated to the Fox folks, but I think they know. It only makes sense for Marvel to be supervised by one entity. There shouldn't be two Marvels."

We can't wait and see what Marvel is going to do with the X-Men once the acquisition is completed.
