The X-Men has conquered death but if one of them dies, their killers will not go unpunished.
Marvel recently released a trailer for X-Factor #1 which features the epic line-up of Northstar, Polaris, Prodigy, Eye-boy, Daken, and Prestige. They are brought together to investigate and find out who is responsible for a mutant's death.
"One of the huge changes in X-Men recently is that the X-Men can't die," X-Men line editor Jordan D. White says in the clip. "If one of them dies, they can bring them back." Through this, the team will also be "initiated" into "the resurrection protocols."
White says writer Leah Williams brings "so much" into the comic series and that she has a "fun quirkiness to her writing." The characters have a sense of adventure and "wackiness," but at the same time, they also have a "real, internal life."
Williams says they will be "exploring" the new rules and establishing them within the X-Factor. "There's not just the mainline of investigative services that's happening," she said. "There's also an undercurrent of drama between who's hooking up with who and who's discovering things about themselves as they go through these experiences." You can check out the trailer below:
"If you like mysteries, come check it out," White teased. "There's gonna be some crazy mysteries, and it'll introduce you to the insane world of the X-Men." Here's the series' synopsis:
MUTANTS HAVE CONQUERED DEATH! By the grace of The Five, the resurrection protocols can bring back any fallen mutant. But such a huge enterprise isn't without its problems and complications… When a mutant dies, X–Factor is there to investigate how and why to keep the rules of reincarnation. Writer Leah Williams (AMAZING MARY JANE, X–TREMISTS) and artist David Baldeón (DOMINO, WEB WARRIORS) take Northstar, Polaris, Prodigy, Eye-boy, Daken and Prestige into the world of murder and missing persons…
