Marvel Releases Trailer For Civil War II Comic Event

Marvel has released an exciting trailer for the upcoming comic book event Civil War II, which sees superheroes being divided again in an all-new story with a different conflict.

Set to debut this June from David Marquez and Brian Michael Bendis, Civil War II centers on a mysterious new Marvel character who has the power to predict the outcome of future events with an extremely high degree of accuracy, a la Minority Report.  This prophetic power divides the Marvel heroes on how best to capitalize on this aggregated information.

On one side is Captain Marvel who leads the charge to profile future crimes and attacks before they occur while Iron Man adopts the position that the punishment cannot come before the crime. On one side, led by Carol Danvers, AKA Captain Marvel, the pro-Minority Report team. They will fight to use this new entity to punish criminals before they commit crimes. Meanwhile, the anti-Minority Report team is led by Tony Stark, AKA Iron Man. They think that the whole purpose of superheroes is to not randomly beat and lock up people for things they haven't done yet. You can check out the members of each team here

I'm really digging the artwork shown in this trailer. And the conflict sounds more interesting than the conflict of the first Civil War. I hope they'll eventually make a movie based on this.
