Marvel Is Bringing Back The Very Best Version Of Loki In New Series

Thanos (Josh Brolin) might have strangled Thor's (Chris Hemsworth) only brother in the opening scene of Avengers: Infinity War, but Marvel is bringing back the Asgardian God of Mischief (Tom Hiddleston) in the upcoming Disney+ series, Loki, and it looks like the studio's bringing back the best version of the character.

According to a report by Screen Rant, Marvel fans are going to see a version of Loki from the very first Avengers movie where the God of Mischief is oozing with wit and undeniable megalomania.

How? In the second act of Endgame, fans get to see the remaining members of the Avengers and the Guardians of the Galaxy stage a heist across time using the quantum realm, moving across various points in the Marvel Cinematic Universe timeline to borrow past versions of the Infinity Stones.

Trying to borrow the Space Stone (then known as the Tesseract), the Avengers travel back to the aftermath of the Avengers movies' Battle of New York. Unfortunately, things don't go as planned, and the Tesseract finds its way to the hands of the 2012 era Loki who uses the Infinity Stone to escape.

Thanks to this, fans have the Loki television series to follow. Given the series' official description which says that the show will "follow Loki as the trickster and shape-shifter pops up throughout human history as an unlikely influencer on historical events," Loki may not have quite a handle on the Time Stone just yet.

Loki is set to premiere on Disney+ in Spring 2021.
