Marvel has Already Talked with Bad Boys for Life Directors About Working on New Project

Will Smith and Martin Lawrence's Bad Boys For Life just made its big premiere this month, and to the surprise of many, the action-comedy did pretty well for itself, raking in positive reviews from fans and from critics. Bad Boys For Life managed to balance levity and action in a franchise that used to struggle.

Now, it looks like Bad Boys For Life has gotten under Marvel's radar. Speaking in an interview with ComicBook.com, the film's directors Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fall revealed that they have actually spoken to the people at Marvel Studios about working on a future project together. Apparently, Marvel decided to meet with the directors after seeing Bad Boys For Life, saying that they enjoyed the film and that they wanted to work with the directorial duo.

"Well, there's nothing concrete. They just met us," El Arbi told the entertainment news outlet. "They said they liked the movie and they just told us, 'Yo, what do you wanna do? Let's find something to work together on.' So there's nothing really planned yet, it was just like a meeting. But yeah, we'll see if we find something cool."

That's pretty big news. While Marvel has yet to find a story or a character for El Arbi and Fallah to work on, there are a whole lot of options for the studio to choose from. The Marvel Cinematic Universe is heading into a brand new chapter now that Avengers: Endgame's culminated Phase 3 of the franchise. Marvel could choose from any character and any story.

What kind of hero do you think should El Arbi and Fallah handle? Feel free to share your thoughts in the comment section below.
