Marvel Gave Three Major 'Endgame' Spoilers to Spider-Man: Far From Home Writers

Spider-Man: Far From Home was shot while Avengers: Endgame was still in production so it's natural that those working on the epilogue would have to know what happens to make a movie. It was previously stated that some of the Far From Home cast knew about Endgame before the Avengers cast and that sentiment also rings true for the writing crew.

During an interview with The New York Times, writers Eric Sommers and Chris McKenna said that they did know some Avengers: Endgame spoilers beforehand but they weren't given a big detailed breakdown. All they knew was that there would be a five-year time gap and people would be blipped back without aging a day, which obviously raises a lot of concerns and gives us an interesting new status quo.

Also, the fact that Iron Man died saving the world. That's obviously a huge part since Peter Parker has to try and accept the fact that he has to continue Stark's legacy. Obviously, that's going to be a lot harder to do after that post-credits sequence.

"The two major things we knew were the five-year gap and the ramifications it would have for the people who did and didn't get blipped away. And, obviously, the Tony of it all."

Peter has been through a lot and it's clear that the pressure on him won't let up anytime soon, especially after what happened in the end. If you haven't seen Spider-Man: Far From Home yet, check it out now and you'll know what we're talking about.
