Marvel Fans Discover New Captain Marvel Power In Avengers: Endgame

Photon energy abilities might be Carol Danvers' (Brie Larson) most impressive skill in Captain Marvel, however, it seems like fans have noticed another power that hasn't been as predominantly showcased in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Posting on Reddit, a Marvel fan decided to share a clip from Avengers: Endgame to showcase what seems like an unnoticed power – the ability to absorb energy. Taken from the scene featuring the final battle with Thanos, the clip shows Captain Marvel grabbing the Infinity Gauntlet while battling Thanos. What most fans have overlooked in the scene is Captain Marvel breaking the circuit when she comes in contact with the glove. When Captain Marvel touches the gauntlet, she seems to have ramped up in power.

While some fans would debate this power-absorbing ability, we wouldn't be that surprised to hear that this was the reason why Captain Marvel was able to give the Mad Titan a good beating – though Thanos did end up overpowering the world's greatest Avenger.

Of course, we understand why some would be against Marvel acknowledging this new "power" of Captain Marvel. There have already been a lot of complaints about how Carol Danvers is a Mary Sue with overwhelming power and ability. The overwhelming power is one of the main reasons why Larson's Carol Danvers movie received mixed reviews from fans and critics.

What do you think of Captain Marvel's power-absorption? Feel free to share your thoughts in the comment section below.
