Marvel Fans Defend Tom Holland After The Actor Spoiled Avengers: Endgame

Tom Holland might be infamous for accidentally revealing spoilers to the movies that he's starring in, but the Marvel star's been more careful the past few years.

The Spider-Man actor's been hard at work on the press tour for his latest Marvel release, Spider-Man: Far From Home, and during the campaign the actor made a stop for an interview on The Graham Norton Show. There, the actor flat out revealed one of the biggest events in Avengers: Endgame – Tony Stark's (Robert Downey Jr.) heartbreaking death.

While this might not be considered a spoiler knowing that Endgame's already been playing in cinemas for nearly two months at this point, a certain group of fans has been expressing outrage over Holland's on-air revelation. Taking to Twitter, these fans have been posting their reactions to the actor's reveal, berating Holland for what they consider a slip-up.

Seeing how undeserved the response has been, Marvel fans have decided to come to Holland's defense, posting their thoughts on the entire affair.

These fans are telling those offended by the actor's "spoiler" to get over themselves, reminding them that Holland's reveal can't be that harmful considering the fact that Endgame's long since been screening in cinemas.

These fans do make a point though. News about Tony Stark's death has been circulating online ever since the film's premiere. Holland's little "slip-up" shouldn't even be considered a "reveal" at all. Some fans are just sensitive – that or they took really long to check out Endgame.

Marvel's next release, Spider-Man: Far From Home, comes swinging into cinemas July 2, 2019.
