The San Diego Comic-Con is a glorious day for Marvel fans as Marvel Studios will announce several upcoming projects that will pave the future of the mega-franchise. Along with the highly-anticipated announcements about Marvel Comics characters like the Fantastic Four and the X-Men's arrival in Phase 5, fans are also demanding for one of the MCU's strongest avengers, the Scarlet Witch, to have her own solo film.

There's no denying that Elizabeth Olsen's Wanda Maximoff is now one of the mainstays of the franchise. In fact, Wanda's character narrative was so eventful that she had a villainous turn in the recent MCU milestone Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. While the conclusion of the Doctor Strange sequel witnessed a tragic fate for the Scarlet Witch, fans refuse to believe that the character is as good as dead.
In a recent interview following Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness' theatrical premiere, Olsen reacted to a potential Scarlet Witch solo film. "Oh, I don’t know, but if they have a good story to tell, I’ll be there," Olsen said in an interview with On Demand Entertainment. "Yes, exactly, or even a little one. Just some version of a break."
Although Olsen seemingly played it coy about possibly starring in a solo film, the actress absolutely implied that she is ready to return as long as there's a good story to tell.
Aside from that, there were also reports claiming that the actress signed a 7-year contract extension with Marvel Studios, solidifying that she is indeed returning as the Scarlet Witch.
After her villainous pursuit in Multiverse of Madness, Wanda certainly has to come back to redeem herself as an Avenger. Hopefully, Marvel Studios prepares a good storyline for Wanda's monumental return, be it in the next Marvel projects, or if fans are lucky, in a solo Scarlet Witch film.
