Marvel Fans are Furious That Captain America’s Shield is with US Agent

Marvel's been pretty busy working on the production of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier and the past few weeks fans have gotten to see a few photos taken from the set of the highly anticipated Disney+ series.

This week, brand new set photos have given fans their very first look at Wyatt Russell as John Walker. The actor looks pretty fine in his outfit as the U.S. Agent, but the set photos also reveal the superhero holding a familiar weapon – Captain America's (Chris Evans) iconic red, white, and blue shield.

Marvel fans have started to panic over the picture. What in the world is U.S. Agent doing with Cap's shield? The last time we saw the shield was in Avengers: Endgame where an aged Steve Rogers decided to give the weapon to Falcon (Anthony Mackie) to symbolize that he had passed on the torch of Captain America to his friend, Sam Wilson.

Fans aren't too keen on seeing the shield with U.S. Agent, a hero that has yet to be introduced in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

New posts on Twitter show just how uncomfortable fans are with U.S. Agent holding Cap's shield. Check out the tweets down here:

While most Marvel fans are going wild over the set photo, readers ought to remember that we don't have any context behind the image just yet. Perhaps the shield is simply a replica of Cap's weapon. Perhaps Falcon lent the shield to the hero. We'll just have to wait and see really.

The Falcon and The Winter Soldier is set to premiere sometime in 2020.
