Marvel Fan Imagines X-Men’s Storm As The Queen Of Wakanda

Disney's acquisition of 21st Century Fox and the studio's film and television assets has been one of the most highly anticipated mergers – not because it would make the Mickey Mouse House more powerful than it already is, but because the deal would bring the X-Men, Fantastic Four, and all of Fox's other mutants, into the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

With the mutant's arrival into Marvel's shared universe an inevitability, fans have been dropping around all sorts of theories about how Marvel might incorporate the mutants into the MCU narrative. Some have even started imagining new designs for popular X-Men characters like Ororo Munroe, known to fans as the mutant Sotrm.

Taking to Instagram, a fan decided to draw an image of Storm if she were to become a part of Wakanda. Storm definitely looks queenly in her own warriors outfit with her tribal design and the golden bangles and jewelry accentuating her body.

This Wakandan imagining of Storm isn't farfetched. Storm and Black Panther both hail from Wakanda – in fact in the Black Panther comics that ran back in 2006, T'Challa proposed to Storm. The two lived as the king and queen of Wakanda until the "Avengers vs. X-Men" event in 2012 put the couple on opposing sides of a massive conflict.

Do you think Marvel Studios would try to crown Storm as Wakanda's new queen in a future Black Panther film? It would be an extremely interesting direction for the Marvel franchise, that's for sure.

Chadwick Boseman is set to reprise his role Black Panther in Avengers: Endgame which premieres on April 26.
