Marvel's Echo Adds Veteran Actor Graham Greene in Mysterious Role

Hawkeye featured the introduction of Alaqua Cox's Maya Lopez, the Native American deaf commander of the Tracksuit Mafia who has close ties to Kingpin and has the ability to mimic physical fighting styles. Prior to the show's release, we learned that Marvel is already working on a spinoff series featuring the character which got a lot of fans wondering about what direction they are going to take, especially after what happened in the Hawkeye season finale. While the plot details are still under wraps, we now know the new cast member who is joining the series.

The Direct has reported that Oscar-nominated veteran actor Graham Greene, known for starring in films such as Dances with Wolves and Wind River, has joined the cast of Marvel's Echo. However, the details regarding his role are still under wraps for now. Marvel Studios has also yet to confirm the actor's involvement in the upcoming series.

It is hard to guess right now which character Greene will be playing since Marvel hasn't revealed any details regarding the show's direction or which comic book story will it be inspired from. The series is expected to explore more of Maya's Native American heritage and, given that Greene is of indigenous heritage, we can pretty much guess that his role will have something to do with that and will probably have a major role in the story.

Greene is definitely an excellent casting choice to join a project like this since he is a wonderful actor who has starred in a lot of iconic films such as Dances with Wolves, for which he received an Oscar nomination. In recent years, he has starred in films such as Wind River, Molly's Game, and Antlers. He also guest-starred in TV shows such as American Gods, 1883, Goliath, and Riverdale and is also set to appear in HBO's The Last of Us.

Cox will reprise the role of Maya Lopez in the spinoff series. Marion Dayre serves as the head writer. Production is expected to begin in Georgia next month. We should be hearing more casting news about the series soon as they are getting closer to their filming date.
