He might have survived the ending of Marvel's Defenders series on Netflix, but that doesn't mean Daredevil can go off scot-free in the comics. Starting in October, Charles Soule will be ending his six-year run on the series with his final arc; The Death of Daredevil. Acclaimed artist Phil Noto will be joining Soule for his final arc, so you can expect this story to look great.
In a video interview with Marvel, Soule explained that he wanted to continue the trend of ending a Daredevil run by putting Matt Murdock in an impossible situation. Brian Michael Bendis ended his run by outing Matt's identity and sending him to jail. Ed Brubaker concluded his long tale by having Matt lead The Hand. Soule will now try to outdo them in this arc, though he didn't say how.
Then again, with a title like The Death of Daredevil, it's really easy to assume what's going to happen to everyone's favorite blind superhero.
Soule hasn't given many details about the arc, so it's not yet clear if this will be a figurative death for the character or an actual one. Given the company's history, it will probably be the latter, though it would be much nicer if it were the former. The writer does bring up putting Matt in an impossible situation, so this might not be a permanent death (then again, what comic book death is aside from Uncle Ben?).

Matt Murdock has been through a lot since becoming a superhero; losing Elektra and Karen Page, having his identity outed, moving to a different city to escape it all, and even dying. Yeah, this isn't his first death as the character was killed and brought back at the end of Shadowland.
Will this be a permanent death? Probably not. But Soule has had a consistently solid run with Daredevil and the quality will likely show in this final arc.
The Death of Daredevil starts with October's Daredevil #609.
