Fans of Avengers: The Children's Crusade who have wanted to see Doctor Doom and Scarlet Witch interact again will soon get the chance to do so as Marvel Comics has announced a big mystic event called Darkhold. The event is significant for a number of reasons, including the Marvel Comics debut of one Steve Orlando, who many will know for his work on Midnighter, Wonder Woman, and Justice League of America.
Apparently, The Darkhold has been one of the most searched items in the Marvel Universe and some sorcerer was able to find it. However, the elder God Cthon is not happy with whoever found it and Scarlet Witch has to do what she can to protect everyone from this angry deity. While Marvel Comics isn't telling us who found The Darkhold, it's clear that it's Doctor Doom or a version of him, at least.

We aren't sure how many other comics will tie-in to Darkhold, with our best guesses being Doctor Doom, Doctor Strange, and the recently-released Strange Academy. Steve Orlando has proven to be a solid hand for DC Comics so this should be a fun comic event if anything else.
