Marvel and Netflix Twitter Accounts Hacked by Well-Known Hacking Organization

It seems that Marvel's Twitter accounts have been hacked. The first wave of cyber attack affected these Twitter accounts: the main Marvel Entertainment account, Guardians of the Galaxy account, The Avengers account, Marvel's Jessica Jones, Marvel's Daredevil, and Marvel's Luke Cage, and they all simultaneously sent out a message from the OurMine Security Group, a hacker collective: "Hey, it's OurMine, Don't worry we are just testing your security,"

The account of Adri Cowan, Marvel's Senior Manager of social media, also tweeted out the same message, saying that she was also a victim of the cyber attack.

The second wave of cyber attack included the Black Panther, Ant-Man, Doctor Strange, Iron Man, Thor, Captain America, and Marvel Music, and they released a second tweet, inviting followers to improve their security in the OurMine website.

Netflix's main Twitter account was also affected, and the only Netflix shows that were affected were the ones from Marvel Television.

OurMine Security organization has previously hacked TechCrunch and Buzzfeed as well as a number of tech luminaries.

Marvel responded to Comicbook.com's request for a statement: "We're investigating and taking immediate action to remedy the situation." A second tweet has gone out from these attacks, inviting followers to upgrade their security at an OurMine website.
