Mark Ruffalo Possibly Leaving MCU After Avengers: Endgame

People are certainly loving Mark Ruffalo for his awesome performance as Bruce Banner and the Hulk in the Avengers films. But is it possible that the Thor: Ragnarok star will be saying goodbye to the iconic character this April? A new report suggests that Ruffalo will be leaving the Marvel Cinematic Universe after Avengers: Endgame.

According to We Got This Covered, a source revealed that Endgame will be Ruffalo's final appearance as Banner and the Hulk. Although there is still a possibility that the Avengers: Age of Ultron actor will have small cameos in the upcoming Phase Five movies, the source stated that "this is likely it" for Ruffalo.

It's no secret that there will once again be major losses in Endgame. It was previously reported that the film will also be the last one for Robert Downey Jr., who has played Tony Stark since Iron Man in 2008. In addition to that, Chris Evans has somehow already said goodbye to Captain America on social media. Needless to say, it wouldn't be a huge surprise if Ruffalo decides to walk away from the MCU this year.

Although we're disappointed that this could be the end of Banner, we're still looking forward to the character's story arc in Endgame. There have been speculations that Banner will manage to work with Hulk to become Professor Hulk this April.

The synopsis for Endgame reads as follows:

"Following the events of Avengers: Infinity War, with half of the universe killed in an event dubbed 'The Decimation', the universe lies in shambles and the remaining Avengers and their allies must reassemble to repair the damage caused by Thanos and bring harmony back to the universe."

Avengers: Endgame is scheduled for release on April 26.
