The future of the Hulk in the Marvel Cinematic Universe might still be uncertain but that hasn't stopped Mark Ruffalo from hoping that his character will be set for bigger things soon. The Avengers: Endgame star has just pitched an idea for a new movie that will focus on Professor Hulk and would feature Wolverine.
Ruffalo recently attended C2E2 in Chicago where he was asked about Bruce Banner's transformation from a man who grudgingly accepts the Hulk to someone who has accepted the other side of his persona (via Comicbook.com). Interestingly, Ruffalo's response revealed that he is hoping to explore his character's storyline further in a new MCU film.
"To be totally honest with you, I want to see the movie where Banner and Hulk ultimately have to battle it out and then the Professor is sort of the brainchild of that," Ruffalo said. He then called on Marvel Studios CCO Kevin Feige and pitched his idea.
"Kevin Feige, are you listening? We want Professor Hulk," Ruffalo said. "The only person in the universe that Hulk is afraid of is Banner and I want to see the ultimate showdown between the two of them. And maybe Wolverine."
Now that's something that we would really like to see in the movies. It's been a while since Hulk had his own film and it would be great if the character is given yet another chance. Although it would be nice if he once again hangs out with Thor, we're loving the idea of the Green Guy taking on Wolverine in the MCU.
What do you think of Ruffalo's pitch? Should Marvel Studios consider working on another Hulk movie? Sound off in the comments below.
