Mark Ruffalo Has a Theory Why People Love Movies from the MCU

It might not be that difficult to see why the Marvel Cinematic Universe has so much power in the pop culture industry, but sometimes, we still get surprised seeing how powerful the franchise actually is when we get to see just how many people have fallen in love with Marvel movies.

Speaking in a new interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Marvel Cinematic Universe Hulk star Mark Ruffalo offers a theory of why the comic book movie franchise has become so popular during the past decade. According to the actor, the reason why the MCU's become such a huge franchise is that people love seeing a world where there is justice. Marvel viewers like seeing heroes who fight for the little guy.

"It's no mistake that people have fallen in love with the Marvel universe because they want to see a world that is just. They want to see people who are fighting for the little guy and on behalf of the little guy. And this [Dark Waters] is a little guy fighting on behalf of other little guys," the actor explained in the interview with the entertainment news outlet.

The MCU is full of heroes who stand up for the men and women around them. It isn't hard to see why fans love heroes like Captain America (Chris Evans), Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.), Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) and so many others.

Right now, Marvel is preparing for Phase 4 of the MCU. Marvel is going to have a different kind of feel to it now that most of the major heroes of the franchise have already gone, but we're excited to see the direction that the franchise is going to take now that Avengers: Endgame has come to an end.
