Mark Millar's Next Netflix Comic Book is Prodigy

Fans were impressed with Mark Millar's first Netflix-affiliated comic book The Magic Order, thanks to awesome art from Oliver Coipel and a cool concept from Millar. The series' third issue comes out this week and many are hoping that each part stands out until the finale. As fans wait for that, Millar has announced his next Netflix comic book; Prodigy.

Teaming up once again with Rafael Albuquerque, who previously worked with Millar on Huck and Hit-Girl, the series will focus on the world's smartest man Edison Crane, who runs the world's most successful business. Since Crane constantly wants to challenge himself, he is often the go-to guy for governments when they are out of options and tact.

Millar said he wanted to write a really smart comic book and having a protagonist who is supposed to be the world's smartest will definitely test one's brain. The Wanted and Kick-Ass writer has also claimed that Crane is the best character he's created thus far, which should garner an interesting response.

"I wanted to write the smartest thing I've ever written and at the same time top any action set pieces I've ever managed in the past and I honestly couldn't be happier with how this has turned out. Edison Crane is by far the best character I've created in my career and I'm delighted that my genius friend [Rafael] Albuquerque is drawing the comic book side of all this. He's really one of the best artists in the world."

Like previous Millar comic books, the series is intended to be the start of a franchise, which may lead to a movie that premieres on Netflix. Fans are hoping the same happens to The Magic Order, which has to happen sooner or later, given its popularity.
