Mark Millar Says Kingsman’s Taron Egerton Is Going To Be The Next Wolverine

Ever since Marvel acquired 21st Century Fox, Marvel fans have been looking forward to the X-Men's arrival in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Not only are fans eager to see how Marvel reboots the mutant franchise, but they're also eager to see who studio casts for the different X-Men roles, especially Wolverine's.

Sure, it might be hard to imagine anyone else with Wolverine's adamantium claws aside from Hugh Jackman, but the actor doesn't seem to have any intention to return to the role, not after his heartbreaking swan song, Logan. Fans have been trying to name potential candidates for the role and actors who've been tossed into the Wolverine salad bowl to include The Greatest Showman's Zac Efron and Stranger Things' Dacre Montgomery.

Prolific comic book writer Mark Millar also has a special bet for the part – Taron Egerton. Taking to Twitter, Millar responded to a fan who pointed out that the comic book writer once "predicted the future of the" of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and Robert Downey Jr's casting as Iron Man.

"Always remember I'm never wrong. PS Taron Egerton will be the next Wolverine," Millar wrote in his post.

Of course, it doesn't come as a surprise seeing Millar naming Egerton as the new Wolverine. After all, the actor's been starring in the live-action adaptation of the comic book writer's Kingsman comic book series. Given his experience as an action star, Egerton could be a pretty good candidate for the role.

Do you think Egerton would make a good Wolverine? Or do you have someone else in mind? Feel free to share your thoughts in the comment section below.
