Mark Hamill LOLs At The Idea of C-3PO With A Bowcaster in Star Wars: Episode IX

The internet was alight following the leak of the supposed poster for Star Wars: Episode IX. Many immediately concluded it was not the real deal, including Luke Skywalker himself, Mark Hamill. In fact, he knew just what made this image so ridiculous.

While he didn't immediately noticed it, Hamill found the idea of C-3PO with a crossbow impossible and hilarious, adding a rolling on the floor laughing emoji at the end of his response to convince Twitter user Indie Revolver, who claimed that the leaked art is indeed real, just that it wasn't meant to be seen by the world just yet.

The internet is indeed divided about this Star Wars: Episode IX leak. A lot of people seem to think that it is authentic, just not the final design of the official poster.

The elements included in it reflect previous leaks and reports, which made fans think that the leakster either just kept up with the leaks to make a convincing image or everything we've heard so far was accurate. Note that C-3PO with a bowcaster was one of the leaks from before. There was also talk about a new alien creature as well as the Keri Russell character sporting a purple and gold outfit. Check out the leak below.

Indeed, it is weird seeing C-3PO with a bowcaster. He was never really the type to go into battle and wield a weapon although he did get the chance to do so in the past. Either way, this appears to be the one thing that some Star Wars fans refer to when making their case about just how fake the supposed Star Wars: Episode IX poster is.

If it is legitimate, could Hamill be simply trying to misdirect us or he doesn't know much about what happens in the film that he wasn't made aware about this?

John Boyega, on the other hand, appears to have acknowledged the leak when a fan said that he had that Han Solo look going on in the leak although this might be the actor just having fun with fans too. Hopefully, we'll know the truth at Star Wars Celebration Chicago.

Star Wars: Episode IX hits the cinemas December 20.
