Mark Hamill is a Grizzled Knight Templar in Teaser for Knightfall 2

Mark Hamill has been known for his voiceover work after the first Star Wars trilogy ended, but he's recently been coming back for live-action roles. He's set to appear as Talus in the second season of Knightfall, and History has released a new teaser featuring Hamill.

This if the description:

"Hamill joins the cast as "Talus," a battle-hardened Knight Templar veteran of the Crusades, who survived captivity for ten years in the Holy Land and is tasked with training the new initiates to the Order. The voice over in this tease reveals Talus' moral conflict with Landry (Cullen) as a Templar. The sword is the symbol that unites and divides the brotherhood this season, and its flames foreshadow what is to come for the Templars on Friday the 13th. Cullen plays the courageous and headstrong Templar Knight, Landry, who last season we left grief-stricken but hopeful."

While I'm happy just to see more of Hamill onscreen, I think it's also fun that his character is some kind of "religious knight." Just in case you live under a rock, Hamill is best known for playing Luke Skywalker in Star Wars which include the Jedi—an ancient organization of religious peacekeeping knights. When it was announced he would be a Knight Templar in Knightfall, I thought it couldn't be more on the nose.

When you listen to his performance though, it sounds very far from Luke Skywalker. In fact, his voice sounds a lot closer to that of his Joker. Either way, I just hope the show has Hamill actually doing some sword-fighting. I loved him in The Last Jedi, but he didn't really duel like we expected him too.

Knightfall 2 airs sometime this year on History.
