Natalie Portman played the role of Padme Amidala in Star Wars: The Phantom Menace. However, despite being actors from the same franchise, Portman hasn't crossed paths yet with Mark Hamill, his on-screen son Luke Skywalker. That said, Hamill hopes for it to happen this year.

A fan recently asked Hamill on Twitter if he had already met Portman, pointing out that the actress mentioned in a 2018 interview of hoping to meet Hamill as well. "Not yet," the actor wrote. "But it's very high on my 2020 To-Do List." He then added the adorable hashtag, "#MeetingMyMovieMama." You can check out his tweet below:

The interview in question was Portman's appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert around two years ago. Hamill revealed back then that they never met, which resulted in Portman expressing interest in meeting up soon in the 2018 interview. "It's such a shame, I would love to meet him," the actress said. "Mark, I would love to meet you, come over!"

Hopefully, the pair could meet up soon. However, as delightful it would be to see this happen, it might take a while before they meet since everyone is practicing social distancing amidst the coronavirus pandemic.
