We already know that Luke Skywalker quickly moved on after his hand was severed during the intense fight with Darth Vader in The Empire Strikes Back. But what exactly happened to the unfortunate limb? Mark Hamill has hilariously revealed that his character's hand may have found a new career in a completely different universe.
Hamill recently shared an awesome photo on his official Twitter page. The Star Wars: Episode IX actor also added the caption, "I'm just glad he found work." Take a look at the hilarious tweet below.
"Little known fact: Luke Skywalker's hand was found by Wednesday and renamed Thing," the image reads. This might explain why the Addams Family member is so eager to help everyone and is such a great driver (as depicted in the 1993 film Addams Family Values). We certainly want to give a hand to whoever it was that made the illustration.
All kidding aside, it looks like Hamill is still hard at work on Episode IX. The highly anticipated sequel is expected to continue production until early 2019. Interestingly, Hamill has not yet shared any spoilers about the film on Twitter.
Although Hamill is being careful about what he posts on social media, John Boyega is clearly having fun with the fans. The Attack The Block actor recently shared a behind-the-scenes video taken at the Episode IX set. The video shows Boyega standing on a rotating platform and speaking earnestly. Unfortunately, the video does not have audio so it's hard to guess what's happening in the scene.
Hamill and Boyega will return in Star Wars: Episode IX, which is scheduled for release on December 20, 2019.
