Mark Hamill Helps Out a Star Wars Fan on Twitter

When Star Wars: The Last Jedi director Rian Johnson revealed that he deleted over 20,000 tweets, fans were disappointed. Johnson had interacted with fans many times on social media, so there many of his followers were sad to see some of their interactions with the director now gone. One fan, in particular, considered it his "Twitter badge of honor" when Johnson replied to a question he asked.

Enter Luke Skywalker himself Mark Hamill, who has given the Twitter user a new "badge" of sorts by replying to his tweet with a GIF. It's a fun little interaction between a celebrity and fan, so this should entertain many Star Wars fans. Hopefully, it doesn't lead to many fans trolling Hamill just so that he can interact with them.

Twitter has taken quite a beating lately, thanks to the whole James Gunn situation. Add the fact that toxic fans have driven celebrities out of social media in general and it's easy to see why we can be so dismissive of these types of followers. Hopefully, more fans become less toxic to their childhood changing and become more humane to other celebrities.

Hamill is slated to return in Star Wars: Episode IX, likely as a Luke Skywalker ghost.
