Mark Hamill Got George Lucas To Help Warwick Davis Complete His Star Wars Collection

Sometimes it really pays to have cool friends. A classic example of an awesome friendship is the one between Star Wars actors Mark Hamill and Warwick Davis. After all, Hamill actually helped Davis procure some key items for his Star Wars collection. To do so, the Star Wars: Episode IX actor convinced George Lucas to help out.

A fan recently asked Hamill if there was any truth to a particular Star Wars information. "I heard that you helped Warwick Davis complete his Star Wars action figure collection after you met him on the set of Return of the Jedi. True/false?" the fan asked. Hamill immediately gave them an amazing response. Check out the tweet below.

"When I met @WarwickADavis he was a 10-year-old boy whizzing around Elstree Studios on roller skates. He was also a huge #StarWars fan who only had a few action figures. All I did was ask George if we could fill out his collection. (We even got him the #DarthVader carrying case!)," he wrote.

This is certainly one of the coolest things a major star could do for a young actor. Davis' first role was in Return of the Jedi where he played Wickett, the Ewok who befriends Princess Leia. Since then, he has appeared in several Star Wars movies including Solo: A Star Wars Story and his collection has grown immensely. Needless to say, it all started with a kind word from Hamill back in 1982.

It's still unclear if Davis will be back in Star Wars: Episode IX. However, we can expect to see more of the talented actor in Maleficent: Mistress of Evil on October 18.
