Birds of Prey (And the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) is one of the upcoming DC films that a lot of people are looking forward to. While it's odd that Harley is replacing Batgirl in the movie, the fact that it has Black Canary, Huntress, and Black Mask has a lot of DC fans going giddy. Now, actress Margot Robbie has given us our first look at Harley Quinn, whilst basically confirming that the movie is in production.
No longer sporting pigtails or a baseball shirt, Harley has a much more chill look amidst the odd clothes she is wearing. We could see Harley going through different costumes throughout this film since this doesn't look like something she would fight in. Then again, the character is pretty unpredictable so anything can happen.
How the film follows up Suicide Squad is going to be very interesting since the ending of that movie implied a happy ending for the couple. Considering how abusive Joker is to Harley in both the comics and the ‘90s animated series, they seem to be leaning towards having Harley move on from the Clown Prince of Crime.
Now that we've seen Harley's new look, here is hoping that Huntress and Black Canary are next. Seeing Black Mask would be cool too since he is surprisingly popular for a C-list Batman villain. Since this is Gotham City, we could also see some cool cameos from characters that inhabit the area.
