Everyone is going crazy over the new Sony PlayStation 5 but one man from Taiwan saw his dreams get crushed right before his eyes courtesy of his loving wife, of all people. The said Taiwanese gentleman had to let go of his newly-acquired PS5 unit after his wife discovered that it wasn't an air purifier like he initially claimed.

The wacky story was shared by Facebook user Jin Wu, who bought the unit from the poor guy at a ridiculously low price. According to Wu, he saw an ad online for the said unit didn't hesitate to inquire about it considering its steal price. In a Facebook post written in Chinese, Wu explained that he initially transacted with the man's wife who was pretty adamant about getting the unit sold ASAP.

Much to his surprise, he met up with the true owner of the console who said his wife instructed him to sell the entire unit after finding out that it wasn't an air purifier. Oh, crap. Well, you know what they say. A happy wife means a happy life! Now, that's quite a score right there! I'm pretty sure Wu has been playing his PS5 nonstop. Check out the equally tragic and hilarious post here:

I don't fault the wife for believing the initial claims of her husband because let's be real here, the Sony PlayStation 5 does look like it could pass as an ordinary household appliance thanks to its sleeker design and new color scheme which is a far cry from its predecessors. So far, the new console has been selling like hotcakes worldwide and it's not hard to understand why given the hype surrounding it especially now that the holiday season is fast approaching.

Sony's PlayStation 5 was released last November 12 in the US.
