Many believe that the DC Extended Universe has long been in shambles but it's obvious that the powers that be are still committed to continuing what they started with the franchise a decade ago.
Now, while the statuses of characters like Superman, Batman, and The Flash remain unclear, Warner Bros. and DC Films have their sights set on introducing new heroes to the fold and one of them is the fan-favorite magic-user Zatanna. The beloved character is confirmed to be getting her own film which will be released via HBO Max and it looks like the studio has found its Mistress of Magic.
According to a hot new rumor, singer Dua Lipa is currently in negotiations with WB for the role. The report was first revealed on social media by celebrity gossip account deuxmoi who claims that they've received official confirmation from reputable sources that the pop star is in fact in deep talks with the studio. Of course, nothing has officially been confirmed yet so take it with a grain of salt.

Dua may have spent most of her career as a musician but the 26-year-old pop star is set to enter the world of acting. In fact, her first project is the upcoming spy film Argylle opposite Man of Steel actor Henry Cavill which will hit AppleTV+ sometime this year.
Interestingly enough, singer Lady Gaga is also rumored to have been cast as Harley Quinn in Todd Phillips' Joker sequel. I guess it's safe to say that pop stars are about to take over the DC Film Universe.
Other details about DC's Zatanna project are still being kept under wraps.
