Mahershala Ali is MCU's Blade in Awesome New Image

It's no secret that the upcoming reboot of Blade is one of the most highly anticipated films in the next few years. But what would Mahershala Ali look like as the Daywalker? A new fan art imagines how the Academy Award winner will appear in the Marvel Cinematic Universe flick.

The fan art was created by digital artist DeathStreak and it looks amazing. Check it out below.

The illustration depicts the Moonlight star in Blade's trademark trenchcoat and gun. Interestingly, it also features the tattoo that former Blade Wesley Snipes had in his own movies. We're not sure if the tattoo will be used in the MCU version of Eric Brooks just yet but we're hoping that Ali will look slightly different.

Ali's casting was announced at the San Diego Comic-Con in July with Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige confirming that the Alita: Battle Angel star had presented himself for the role. Ali had already appeared in the Netflix series Luke Cage where he played the villainous Cornell 'Cottonmouth' Stokes but it's clear that Marvel still wants to give him a bigger role in the MCU.

For now, there are no details about the Blade reboot. The film has not yet been given an official release date but is expected to be the first movie in MCU's Phase 5. Hopefully, we'll get some good news about the project before the end of the year. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.
