MagicFest Kitakyushu Cancelled and Here's Why

Wizards of the Coast

The MagicFest that was originally scheduled for May 17-20 in Kitakyushu, Japan, has been cancelled, Wizards of the Coast announced today. According to the Magic: The Gathering publisher, Grand Prix Kitakyushu has been cancelled due to a scheduling error. They said that they will be working with CFB Events to try to schedule another MagicFest event in Japan later in 2019 and they are planning to release more details as they become more available.

Those affected by the MagicFest cancellation can contact Wizards of the Coast at wz-jp-support@wizards.com.

I hope those who booked plane tickets and hotel rooms for the cancelled event in advance would be able to get refunds.
